Lester E. Wiggins New 28.2KW Photovoltaic System

We just installed a 28.2 kw system on the roof of the college where I teach. The students did a great job and the system works great. I will be posting some pics as soon as I can. It is a 3 phase 277/480 volt system.

Bryan Ottinger Feed-in Tariff Program - looking for land and large rooftops to lease to place solar - make $$$$

Program: We have project funding available and is looking for space in CA and HI to construct and operate FIT renewable power systems.  The owner/lessor receives an annual lease payment that is usually paid quarterly. Payments start after the system is producing power and is paid one month in arrears for a 20-25 year term. FIT projects (up to 1.5MW) typically take about 9-12+ months to become operational and larger systems can take longer.  PV Solar will be the primary equipment used…

Pete Hruby Solar PV on Slate

Anyone have a convenient solution for installing solar on a slate (stone) roof? Install is in the Boston Metro area (think snow). Stripping the slate and installing a metal standing seam roof has significant negative impact on the job's ROI.
