Lead PV Solar Installer Opening

Solar Universe in the Silicon Valley is a rapidly growing PV system design and installation division of Solaropoly, Inc. We design solutions for residential, commercial and government facilities throughout Santa Clara County.

We are currently looking for a PV Solar Lead Installer to join our team. Candidate must have construction experience, including electrical and/or roofing, as well as solar experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Installation of rooftop and ground mounted solar electric systems according to design specifications.
-Penetrating and sealing a variety of building and roofing materials.
-Mounting module racking, installing wire runs and associated equipment.
-Job site management of materials and tools.
-Driving company vehicle to/from job site.
-Tool inventory and maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS:
-Able to lead a small team

-Ability to lift 60 pounds frequently throughout the day.
-Able to work safely with heights and in confined areas.
-Comfortable with heights and working on ladders and with lifts.
-Skilled working with power and hand tools as well as showing others how to safely use these tools.
-Good communication and documentation skills.
-Motivated individual with an attention to detail and a focus on safety.
-Clean valid Driver License.
-Clean criminal record.
-English Speaking, bilingual a plus.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR:
-Working knowledge of NEC code.
-Construction related experience including electrical and roofing knowledge.
